Precise positioning for autonomous machines

Autonomous systems need a reliable understanding of their position, orientation and movement.

Whether it's a mobile robot, autonomous vehicle, UAV or industrial platform, navigation starts with accurate sensor data.

Siderion develops compact GNSS and sensing solutions that provide the positioning, heading and altitude information autonomous systems need to operate in the real world.

From coordinates to confidence

Autonomous navigation systems combine multiple sources of information to determine where a platform is and how it is moving.

GNSS provides global positioning. RTK correction can take that positioning to centimeter-level accuracy. Magnetic sensing can provide heading information, while barometric sensing contributes altitude data.

Siderion brings these technologies together in compact embedded modules designed for integration into autonomous platforms.

The building blocks of autonomy

Position

Multi-band GNSS and RTK provide highly accurate geographic positioning.

Heading

A professional-grade magnetometer can provide orientation information, particularly when integrated carefully into the vehicle's navigation architecture.

Altitude

High-precision pressure sensing adds another source of vertical information.

Real-time updates

High-rate position updates allow navigation systems to react quickly to changes in motion.

Integration

Interfaces such as USB, UART, I²C and SPI make it possible to connect the navigation hardware directly to your system architecture. Selected Siderion modules also support MAVLink.

Designed for autonomous platforms

Siderion technology can be integrated into a wide range of autonomous systems.

Autonomous vehicles

Accurate positioning for vehicles operating on roads, industrial sites, farms and other environments.

Mobile robotics

Position and heading information for robots that need to navigate their environment or follow predefined trajectories.

UAVs

Navigation hardware for autonomous aerial platforms and mission-based flight.

Industrial automation

Compact positioning and sensing components for machines that need reliable spatial awareness.

When standard GNSS isn't enough

Standard GNSS can provide useful positioning, but autonomous applications often require substantially greater precision.

RTK uses correction data to significantly improve positioning accuracy. Siderion RTK modules support correction technologies including RTCM, VRS and Network RTK, depending on the product.

This makes them suitable for applications where the difference between a few meters and a few centimeters can change the outcome of an operation.

Designed for your architecture

Siderion provides the embedded navigation hardware. Your system remains yours.

Integrate our modules into your own PCB, connect them to your autopilot or navigation computer, and combine their data with the rest of your sensor stack.

From a first prototype to a production platform, Siderion gives engineering teams a compact foundation for high-precision navigation.

Build precise navigation into your next autonomous system.
